YEAR 7 · ANGLES AND POLYGONS

Topic review.

Check the key ideas, then put them together independently.

QUICK RECAP

Connect the ideas

An angle measures a turn, not the length of its arms.

Angles on a straight line total 180 degrees; angles around a point total 360 degrees.

Vertically opposite angles are equal. Parallel lines give corresponding and alternate equal angles, while co-interior angles sum to 180 degrees.

The interior angles of a triangle total 180 degrees; a simple n-sided polygon has total (n−2)×180 degrees.

Classify a shape by properties that must be true, and put more specific categories first in a sorting algorithm.
