Count the moves
From Monday to Tuesday, 1 day passes. We make one move to the next day; we do not count Monday as a day already passed.
From 4 June to 9 June, count five moves: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. Each move is one day.

A week is seven days
An event on the same weekday in the next week is 7 days later. Two weeks later is 14 days later.
Count on through a weekend or across a month boundary. The month name changes, but each move to the next date is still one day.
A common trap
Monday to Wednesday is 3 days because I named three weekdays.
Instead: Only two days pass: Monday to Tuesday, then Tuesday to Wednesday.
