Hours/days/weeks/months/years

Choose time words for daily, weekly and yearly events.

01 / LEARN

The idea, step by step

Days and weeks

Hours describe parts of a day. A day includes daytime and night-time.

Seven days make a week. They repeat in the same order.

The days repeat in this order.

Months and years

A month is a group of days on a calendar. Twelve named months make a year.

Not every month has the same number of days. A month is not exactly four weeks.

A common trap

A month is the same length as a week.

Instead: A week has seven days. A month has more days and its length can vary.
